social media

Hello all!

Two days ago, I put up a post on IG (pictured) in regards to a meditation/ yoga group that I do for sex industry workers. This is a therapeutic group that I constructed as a sort of an outreach for folks navigating work in a highly stigmatized, sometimes dangerous, and always challenging line of work. As many of you know (now you do if you didn’t)- that was the industry I was involved in for a decade before I moved here to Ellensburg to teach yoga. I was lucky enough to retire with enough money to begin again and do something different that I loved (and continue to love) which is teach yoga. So the group. The post on IG. Instagram did not love it. They immediately suspended and deleted my account accusing me of advocating human trafficking or some nonsense. Incredible. So theres that. Nothing I could do. Clearly, any mention of sex work is a no no (ahem, heavily stigmatized as mentioned).

That studio IG account has been shut down. What can I say? Good riddance. Social media has never been my favorite. Studio news will now be exclusively shared here.
